Although officially it’s a place for crocodile breeding, for me it’s still a place for having an adrenaline rush, an intense feeling between fear and curiosity about wild animals, one kind of species that are very dangerous to humans. Ah, perhaps I am too much in watching movies and TV series 🙂

At the time I arrived at the crocodile farm near Balikpapan, Eastern of Kalimantan (Borneo), I noticed that the big crocodile was resting with wide mouth open. The guy in the farm said that was not an aggressive posture, but its way to cool off. Hmm… for me it’s still terrifying with its teeth! And I did not want to share, even I did not want to see the next scene which was happened in a split second after the big crocodile made a quick move. I guessed the thrown chicken as its meal was already on the way to its stomach as soon as its mouth closed! Yuck…

It was not my priority to visit the place, but when you traveled with friends then compromised decision will be an option to make the trip happier, right? Besides, I learned something from the trip.

Although the farm takes care of various type of crocodiles like estuarine crocodile (crocodylus porosus), freshwater crocodile (crocodylus siamlisus) and tamistoma (tamistoma scheillius) etc., in my eyes those reptiles are the same.. dangerous crocodiles 😀
