As a modern hectic city, Singapore is also famous as an international hub city for the travelers. Despite the fact that it has so many intimidating skyscrapers which seem having no mercy to the people who lost in life competition, Singapore provides places for relaxing the mind.
One of these places is the lotus pond that is located adjacent to the Art & Science museum in Marina Bay area. When I took this photo, many people, -perhaps workers-, were standing there and taking a break from their hectic day. It was shown on their faces that they needed the break for relaxing the mind and the lotus pond became the perfect place for that.
A simple lotus pond with its coolness gives a total fresh atmosphere around. A perfect place for taking a brief relax to regain the strength.
As Bryant McGill once said,
Your calm mind is the ultimate weapon against your challenges. So relax.
Sometimes we gotta get through our fear just to see the beauty of life. God pushed us to the edge, or to the end of the rope. To feel it and through the presence of fear we have to conquer and make triumph over it. Being a brave one. And the only one we can do is trust God fully, to have a faith.
So when we reach to the edge, or we get to the end of the rope, tie a knot, hold on and believe… help is on the way! God will make a way when there seems to be no way. We will see the beauty is coming… Because only two beautiful things can happen, either God will catch us when we fall or God will teach us how to fly.

When I visited Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh, Cambodia 2 weeks ago, I saw this beautiful flower. A lotus. I could not help myself not to capture it with my pocket camera. Well, here is my submission to this week’s photo challenge with the theme From Every Angle.
and another one…
I was on the way visiting Mendut when I saw the monastery adjacent to the temple was so tempting. The gate was open. A beautiful pond at front with lotus flowers and fishes seemed welcoming me. Quiet atmosphere. Hmm.. what a beautiful morning!
I walked slowly and felt the peaceful atmosphere there.
A monk in yellow robe was watering the plants in the backyard. Looks simple, but I know he was in meditative process while doing his work.
I walked around the pond at front. I cannot help myself not to take photo of the lotus flower near the feet of a statue. Suddenly it came to my mind. The overlooked beauty of present moment…
Most of us spend so much time to set goals, further and higher, always looking forwards to what we want to achieve and finally lost in perspective.
As a matter of fact, we need to appreciate what we have now, how far we have come to be at this point, to get all the great things of goals we have achieved. And perhaps the goals that we set might beautifully be there beneath our own feet at present moment.

Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come
Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome
