When you eat fruit, think of the person who planted the tree,
but when you have a tea, think of the person who picked the leaves of tea

In our vacation several years ago, we had a chance to stay overnight in a small villa at Tambi tea plantation, about 120 km from Semarang, – the capital city of Central Java, Indonesia -, or about half way to Dieng Plateau from Wonosobo. Taking the space around 829 hectares, the Tambi tea plantation itself is famous with its black tea.
The following morning, after having breakfast, we joined a tea-walk tour, a common activity for the visitors to walk around the tea plantation. After a while, I saw a group of tea pickers who were walking through the small path with the large bundles of tea leaves on their backs.
The heavy loads on their backs reminds me how tough their lives are. Bringing more than 30kg loads on their backs every day for getting a small amount of money for living surely is not an easy job, especially for women. I have to admit that the road taken by them was totally extraordinary.
In front of me, they show the true meaning of a wise words,
When life gets tough, remember you are tougher…
When thing get tough, tough gets going…

i’ve been here 2,5 years ago. jadi tahu betapa panjangnya perjalanan secangkir teh yang kita sesap hangatnya setiap pagi. ada jerih payah ibu-ibu pemetik teh disana, ada nilai-nilai perjuangan dalam secangkir teh.
