When the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge asks us to show a picture that has vibrant colors, there’s a picture directly dancing in my mind. Well, as part of washing the web with a rainbow of colors, I select this photo to be my contribution for this week’s photo challenge.

This vibrant colored building which is famous as The House of Tan Teng Niah, is located in the heart of the area of Indian community in Singapore. Being something that always screams for attention in the vicinity of Kerbau Road, this beautiful villa can be reached only about one minute walking from the Little India MRT Station.

Based on the history, Tan Teng Niah, a successful and prominent Chinese businessman, in the year of 1900 built a house in Little India, for his beloved wife. And in 1980 the eye catching house was being restored. This house also won the Singapore Institute of Architects Honorable Mention Award in 1991. Until now, it is one of the survived splendidly Chinese buildings in Little India.

Last time I saw this attractive house was on Deepavali or Diwali last year and it’s still like a magnet for the tourists to take selfie. Have you been there?
